My Skincare and Makeup Routine

Good afternoon everyone!

Hope you're all enjoying your Monday so far! I decided to dedicate this next blog post to my skincare  regimen and makeup routine. I am really looking forward to spring and summertime so I can get out there and start working on my tan (not, I really don't tan ever) This winter has been extremely tough on my skin, throughout the months my skin has become very dry, and sensitive. I do however have a few tips and tricks I use to keep my skin in the best shape possible like:

  • Drink lots of water
  • Eat a healthy diet, and try your best to avoid greasy foods
  • Manage stress, this is a huge one for college students but working out can be very beneficial
  • If possible try and get a facial at the beginning of spring, and winter
  • Try for as much sleep as possible

Also watch the makeup products you're using on your skin, as it can be quite heavy on the skin and make it hard for your pores to breathe. A fun fact about me is I actually don't wear any makeup day to day, I love letting my skin breathe and going for a more natural look. If I am feeling pale I won't resort to makeup but rather go to the spray tan booth to get that glow I'm looking for. When I wake up in the morning I cleanse and moisturize my skin, its a great way to start my day and wake up. Also, before bed I repeat that same process to wash the day off. I have very dry skin as I previously mentioned, so it has taken me a while to find that product that really does the trick.

The product that leaves my skin glowing are:

IS Clinical Cleansing Complex and IS Clinical Hydra Cool Serum. These products have completely transformed my skin and I have nothing but good things to say about them. For my Humber friends I am positive these products are available at the spa located in the school, if not I get mine from the spa back home!

Hope you all have an amazing week! Once again if anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me on Instagram!

Animal Testing

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, having that sunshine was definitely a bonus! I am here to write about something very dear to my heart, if you know me you know my love and passion towards animals. I have grown up with animals since I was a very young, I even got my first pony when I was 3. Which is why animal testing is very hard for me to witness, and why I continue to take a stand on this topic. I feel like a lot of us, myself included are unaware of how common this really is throughout the fashion industry in regards to makeup and beauty products. I often research to update my information and I have been shocked as to what I ave found, some of my favourite places to shop or use their soap or makeup have been taken off my shopping list. These are some of the companies who test on animals: Estee Lauder  Clinique  Victoria Secret  Makeup Forever  O.P.I Benefit  M.A.C Although there are just a few there are many more companies out there. As much as working out can be tough sometimes its also one of the most rewarding feelings ever, and you can have the perfect outfit doing it! My day to day looks are most often consisting of athletic wear, I love nothing more than being comfortable while I attend those long 3 hour classes. Some of my favourite brands include: Gymshark Women  Lulu Lemon  Nike  Adidas  Under Armour  Asics    Although I love to and often indulge in treats it is a very rewarding feeling of living a healthy lifestyle which can often be hard when living away from home in student residence. I am no health expert but I have a few tips and tricks on how to make better food choices.  Banana for breakfast As much water as you can drink  A yummy salad or sandwich for lunch  Bigger dinner like pasta with veggies  Keeping mot
